back to bloggin'

After a while of not being able to blog, I finally got around to post something today. woo hoo I'm back in business!! Truth is having 3 kids really is difficult ( I hope somebody relates...) since Chloee was born it was nursing on demand and while she was sleeping Josh and Katie also needed my undivided attention it is so time consuming but all worth it!!
The summer was great, the whole stay at home mom is kinda fun. I must confess I get frustrated and when I am inside the house all day long that at the end of the day I do get a little irritated. But I do try to keep busy by going to pick up Josh and Katie from school.
I started working again but this time from home, work is okay keeps me busy for a few hours but usually Chloee (who is the one that of course stays at home with me ) gets tired and starts crying so thats when I know that work needs to come to an end for the day.
I'll post some pictures of the kids because I'm not going to write about everything I did this summer because my life is too exciting.. lol right...

Chloee

Chloee Raquel, our new baby was born June 2nd, 2008 at 2:25 pm, she weighed 7 lbs 13 oz. and was 20 " long. Since labor didn't come naturally, I was induced. We got to the hospital at 7:30 am and right as we got there the nurses were waiting for us and took us to the birthing room, got checked in and started pitocin at around 10:45 am. Dr. Berry came in at around 11:30 am to break my water, and got an epidural soon after that but the pain was very intense and after a while the anesthesia wore off. At this time my contractions were getting stronger and I got a second epidural. Chloee came soon after that so I don't think I was in labor for that long thank goodness!

a Few Minutes after being born.

Me at 38 wks...

I"m not a fan of taking pictures of my self, pregnant but I thought my kids would some day appreciate looking at them I hope at least because I really think I look bad. Anyway, I've had light contractions for the past 3 days and they seem to get stronger towards the end of the day. I had a doctor's appointment on tuesday and he said everything looked fine and I was dilated to a 2 and said that if he didn't see me this week at the hospital, then he'd see me next wk at my appointment, or be induced on the 2nd of June. He also said I needed to go walk the malls ( with my husband's credit card.. lol) j/k... This has been a long pregnancy! Not to mention that I feel huge, even though I am smaller than my previous pregnancies... :( I don't know what to expect, I haven't had kids for 4 yrs and this is all so new, I don't even remember how to hold a baby or change diapers! hopefully once she comes I will remember everything again ... :)

Katie and Ryder's birthday party

May has been a busy busy month, it is my last month of pregnancy and I've been going to the doctor every week now, and going through that whole nesting period is really making me tired. I try to overwork and get really tired almost every day with the hope that I will go into labor but nothing.. These last weeks I've been having dreams that I go into labor or my water breaks, you name it! but it really is that I just have to go to the bathroom and it is very disappointing... :(

This month was also Ryder's birthday (May 10Th) and Mother's day. Hyrum and the kids woke me up to a nice breakfast in bed, hugs, kisses and I love yous. Hyrum always finds a way to surprise me I adore him! that same day was my Mom in law's birthday as well, she is the sweetest person, I love her and I must say that she's the first one I fell in love with of the Christensen family :) It kinda sucks they live in Tacoma, WA but they do come visit almost every month.. Since we have Ryder's, Katie's and my birthdays really close My cute sister Nan and I decided we should do a double party, the official date was the 17th of May and I must say that was one of the longest days ever because as much as we tried to get everything done the day before, for some reason it never works out. We made cup cakes the night before to make this more simple and easy (a couple yrs ago we bought cake and it melted in the heat) we had planned to wake up early to frost the cakes but of course that also didn't work out and I had to go to Josh's game which started at 11 am. so I ended up going to Josh's ball game and my mom and sister stayed home frosting.. so anyway the games usually go for about an hour and but it took longer that expected. And a party that was supposed to be a 2-4 pm thing turned out to be a 3:30 to almost 7 pm party but everything went great we played so much had a water balloon fight (which I didn't take part of) Ryder took off all his clothes (diaper included) and played in a puddle of muddy water it he had so much fun. were all so pleased with the results and I think everybody had fun and that was the most important part!
On Sunday, my awesome husband and kiddos woke me up again for my birthday with breakfast in bed. They sang happy birthday and gave me a card. I must admit I was kinda mad at first because I was hoping Hyrum would forget it was my birthday because I forgot about his back in December and it just was bad because I didn't remember it until noon which is when I called him to apologize, and he still rubs it in just for fun but I really hoped we'd get even, but everything was just amazing, My husband and kids are my life and I don't know what I'd do without them, I'm so grateful Hyrum came to our lives because he is a great husband and an amazing father the kids love him so much and he adores them. He had been getting frustrated with Josh because he wasn't paying much attention at his baseball games and we know that he's good because when Hyrum and Josh practice at home he does so well, but he's young and like every 7 yr old they get distracted so quick. But on Saturday at his 4th game he was into that game, playing so well, it was so cool so see Hyrum being so proud of our little boy because they have been working so hard (with the help of uncle Marc) to help him improve and it's paying off!!
We are now just waiting for next weekend to come which will be Katie's birthday on the 24th. I can't believe our little girl is turning 4, she's getting so big!
I really cannot wait for this month to end, I am 38 wks and just ready for our baby to come!!

Home alone...

This weather isn't really helping, it is mid April and I is still very cold. today I just feel like staying home. My mom asked if she could take the kids with her, of course I didn't want to but kids are kids and they ended up going with grandma so I came home and just laid in the couch almost all day, it was great but I couldn't sleep, I guess I'm used to sleeping to the kids yelling and running around the house and just knowing they're there, I know this will all change once baby is here because I won't be able to do that any more. :(

bowling w/ the fam

Bowling night with the fam. We all got together on friday night to celebrate Nidia's 24th birthday. It was a lot of fun, of course the kids had a blast I really think they were the ones that had the most fun that night. I love getting together with my sisters and their husbands and kids ( well, only Ryder for now) but I'm hoping the family will grow really soon, as for Hyrum and I we already have this little one on the way, I'm so excited I'll be 33 wks next week time is going by so fast, as much as we want her to come now, we know that we have to be patient and wait until she's ready I'm hoping the kids will adapt to the new baby sister...
