What, no birdies?

Kika, my female lovebird (or so we think...) laid 5 eggs a little before christmas, well the eggs haven't hatched. I kinda figured they weren't going to be fertile since it was the first time she ever laid eggs but I was still hopeful. I checked the eggies yesterday and they were nice and warm but she's been so over protective that she will literaly attack me if Iget close (but somebody's gotta do this right?) today she scattered them all over her nest and the eggies aren't warm anymore. I don't know what the heck she's thinking? were are my little baby birdies?! I'm really sad that I'm probably going to have to throw them away :( how sad is that? well maybe she'll lay eggs again during the summer. I was reading a lovebirds gestation period is 22-25 days so its been over that already and they are great breeders, they have a 75-80% rate of the eggs hatching but I suppose this isn't the case... We'll have to see what happens next time...

well there's one eggie, but where are all the other ones? and as you can see she is about bite me!!!

well actually hens (female lovebirds) do lay eggs even without the male but they aren't fertile.. just like chickens.. they lay eggs but if they don't have a rooster then they don't have any chicks and that's what we eat...
